Herb Robert

The tender shoots of the herb Robert (Geranium robertianum) are green to crimson in color and covered with glandular hairs.

Numerous opposite, stalked, palmately divided and pinnate leaves sit between the branched stems.

The light red to bright crimson flowers usually sit in pairs on a stalk. From the flower develops a beak-shaped fruit.

The plant is notable for its unpleasant odor, which gives it the nickname stinky cranesbill.
