Goldenrod

Goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea) reaches a height of up to 1 m. The leaves are arranged alternately on a round stem.

The yellow flowers are located on the upper part and are arranged in clusters or panicles.

Healing effect and application

Therapeutic properties:
Diuretic, astringent, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, analgesic, antispasmodic, antifungal, wound healing.

Caution when using during pregnancy!

Application in naturopathy:
It is mainly used in inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract and kidney disease. To stimulate metabolism and skin diseases, such as fungal infections, it can provide supportive services. Accompanying it can help with intestinal diseases, diabetes, rheumatism, gout, edema and sore throat.

No safety studies are yet available for use during pregnancy.

  • Bitters

  • Flavonoids

Tea recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp goldenrod herb
  • 250 ml water

Preparation:

Pour 250 ml of boiling water over 2 tsp. of goldenrod herb and leave for 10 min. let steep covered. 2 cups tgl. drink
